The Florida Department of Education’s Just Read, Florida! Office is pleased to announce the seventh annual statewide Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida! This year’s theme is “Reading Accelerates Success!” With the support of educational partners, the Florida Department of Education’s Just Read, Florida! hopes to “boost” the enthusiasm and enjoyment of reading for children and adults of all ages throughout Florida. Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida! will take place the week of January 26-30, 2015. The goal of Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida! is to promote literacy throughout the state by raising awareness of the many exciting literacy activities happening in school districts, educational programs and projects offered by the Florida Department of Education and its partner agencies and organizations.
Board Members of the Early Learning Coalition of Lake County, as well as Board Members of Lake County’s Children’s Services Council and Coalition staff will be joining Early Education Providers on Wednesday, January 28th at 9:00am for a simultaneous reading of “Time to Sleep“.
