The Early Learning Coalition of Lake County (ELC) is excited to announce that on Saturday, January 28, 2017 we will be holding our 1st Annual Resolution Run (5K Run/Walk and Fun Run/Toddler Crawl). The Early Learning Coalition is funded by the Florida’s Department of Education’s Office of Early Learning.

Funds raised by the event are being reinvested locally in the School Readiness Program, a Child Care Subsidy Program that provides high quality early childhood education and child care options for young children. The program provides the opportunity for children to be successful in school and is vital to the low income families that the Coalition serves. Child care subsidies also reduce barriers to employment by allowing parents and guardians to participate in workforce training, pursue higher education and continue employment while knowing their children are being cared for in reliable, safe and high quality child care settings.
Currently there are approximately 1,800 children enrolled and participating in the School Readiness Program in Lake County. Each year, the Coalition is required to raise match dollars to ensure that our working poor families continue to receive child care assistance allowing their children to continue to participate in the School Readiness Program. To do this, we need your help!
